An image of Final Cut Studio 2's box, as stolen from the Apple Web SiteOur very own Chris Roberts, Apple FCP Certified Professional and Apple Certified Master Trainer, will be demonstrating Final Cut Studio to us this evening. Chris has been working in the industry for over a decade, gaining a variety of experience in making cost-effective TV for broadcast, corporate video, DVD, multimedia and the Internet.

Martin Schneider from MYOB will be demonstrating MYOB's latest Mac only range of accounting packages for managing anything from mini business finances up to global enterprises.

The new range of Mac accounting software from MYOB has been built from the ground up by a dedicated Mac team, with stuff like iCal and .Mac integration and a proper Mac user interface. This session will give you an overview of the product range, how to use it along with hints and tips on making the most of the software.

iLife '08 boxFor April's meeting, Ben has volunteered to give a tour of iLife 08. He hopes we won't sidetrack him to produce a mega blockbuster in iMovie like last time, but I think he is tempting fate.

Xmas party and home networking is our topic for the December meeting. We'll demo how to setup a basic home network including a windows pc and USB printer.

At 9pm we'll ajorn to The Bull for a round of drinks on mmug.

Our November meeting's main topic was Mac OS 10.5 Leopard and was hosted by Neil and Oliver at the New Technology Institute (NTI). We had a guided tour of the new system and the features which make it the best Mac OS release so far.
